On Monday, December 8, 2025, a delegation of the Parliament of Sint Maarten—currently in the Netherlands to participate in the 36th InterExpo Congress from December 9–11, 2025—joined delegations from the Parliaments of Aruba and Curaçao in a meeting with the newly elected Members of the Second Chamber of the States-General of the Netherlands serving on the Committee for Kingdom Relations. During this meeting, the delegations discussed relations within the Kingdom and exchanged information, knowledge and perspectives relevant to their parliamentary responsibilities and Kingdom and country-related matters.
Following this meeting, the Sint Maarten delegation met with Mr. Randolf Duggins, the newly appointed Member of the Kingdom Council of State for Sint Maarten as of October 1, 2025, at the Council of State in The Hague. The Member of the Kingdom Council of State for Curaçao, Mr. Paul Comenencia, was also present. Discussions centered on the functioning of the Kingdom Council of State and its councillors, the submission of the draft Kingdom Law on the Dispute Regulation, and the unsolicited advice issued by the Kingdom Council of State on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Charter for the Kingdom of the Netherlands.

Mr. Raeyhon A. Peterson, the Hon. Mr. Viren V. Kotai, the Hon. Mr. Omar E.C. Ottley, the Hon. Mr. Lyndon C.J. Lewis, and the Hon. Mr. Egbert J. Doran.
